Bellingham Dollars for Scholars (BDFS) is a local non-profit organization which provides scholarships to attend college or other post-secondary education to the graduating seniors of our four high schools in Bellingham, WA.
Since 2002 this has resulted in 540 scholarships totaling more than $450,000. These scholarships have been made possible through the generous contributions and shared vision of individuals, businesses and local corporations.
In 2009, BDFS became a program of the Whatcom Community Foundation. This new relationship combines the skills and dedication of BDFS volunteers with the professional experience and administration of the Foundation.

This year, we are excited to offer students an online scholarship application. Students who fill out out one application on our website will be eligible for the Bellingham Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Round as well as other scholarships that are available nationally through our partnership with Scholarship America. Eligibility is based on information the students provide on their comprehensive application.
